On 11/02/2017; Al-Quds Open University conducted a workshop for the team of the Economics and Administrative Sciences Research Center Project at the University Head Quarter in Ramallah and through video-conference with Gaza Strip. Prof Samir Al Najdi –Vice President for Academic Affairs, opened the workshop greeting the attendees and emphasizing the role of Economics and Administrative Sciences Research Center and the expected impacts of the project.
Prof. Al Najdi called the participating members to formulate Research Teams capable of conducting applied scientific researches in economic and administrative fields.
Dr. Eng. Yousef Sabbah, Director of Quality Department, the Project Coordinator at QOU talked about the new prospects opened up by “Erasmus +” to researchers, especially the Development of Administrative and Economic Research Centers in the Palestinian universities, which aims to provide universities with research and qualitative studies of high quality and contribute to the provision of consulting services for public, private and civil society institutions.
Dr. Yousef Abu Fara, Dean of the Faculty of Administrative and Economic Sciences pointed that this workshop represents a real breakthrough for the work of research group which will contribute to raising the reputation of the University on national and international universities levels, and added that the University is keen to create partnerships to these research groups with academics from Arab and foreign universities.
Dr. Marwan Darwish, Vice President for Administrative Affairs, concluded the workshop, urging the members to make efforts, increase positive interaction, and focus on joint research strategy, emphasizing that QOU will provide all the facilities required for the success of the Administrative and Economic Research Center.
During the workshop, Dr. Diab Jarrar, Dr. Omar Abu Eideh, Dr. Majdi Al-Kababji, Dr. Abdul Rahman Ahmad, Dr. Sabri Mushtaha, Mr. Khaled Qashqash, presented their experiences at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm (KTH), and they talked about scientific research groups and new technologies in data analysis, and joint master programs, and management of research projects and others.
